The 2018 Old Timers Dinner was again held at the Polish Hall on Thursday, October 18th.
The kitchen put on a great turkey dinner which included the all important Perogies. A warm round of applause was given by all in recognition of the kitchen staff.
Registration was manned first by Old Timer Bill Lowrie (Committee Member) and Angela Schornstein (DS & M Mechanical Services, Committee Member) who was replaced by Kerrie Light (Marking Services Canada). Thank you Kerrie for your help.
Tom Crerar (Chairman of the committee and an Old Timer) welcomed everyone, told a few jokes and then introduced MCA-A Vice President Mark Schendel (Schendel Mechanical Contractors, Edmonton) who brought greetings from the MCA-A President Tim Padfield ( Pad-Car Mechanical, Medicine Hat) and MCA-A Executive Director, Russ Evans. In attendance for the MCA-A office was Vicky Derkson (Member Services and Programs).
A moment of silence was observed to honour all of our Old Timers no longer with us.

The entertainment this year was “Name that Tune”. Those who were interested in playing were divided into teams and assigned a number by Rick Symes the DJ. Tunes were played and those who got the correct answers were awarded points. When Rick added up all the points for each team, the team with the most points got their choice of a bottle of wine. Unfortunately we did not obtain the names of the winners.
Old Timers photos were taken by Mike Delmage (Old Timer) with the assistance of Roman Sadauskas (Wolseley) and Angela Schornstein. Thank You for your help, Mike, Roman and Angela.
